Description

The New Frontier Reflections from the Irish Border by James Conor Patterson explores the complexities of identity and belonging in the 21st century. This landmark collection of writing from the Irish border region invites writers to respond imaginatively to the land, body, and lived experiences of this complex part of Ireland. Featuring contributions from over 20 writers, The New Frontier seeks to reclaim the border region from decades of misinterpretation and misunderstanding. By examining the intersection of literature and history, this anthology offers a nuanced exploration of what it means to be Irish, Northern Irish, or British in modern times. Through its diverse range of voices and perspectives, The New Frontier provides a unique insight into the experiences of those living on the threshold between Europe and the United Kingdom.
