Description
The Movie Teller by Hernán Rivera Letelier is a poignant tale of village cinemas in their heyday. In 1960s Chile, María Margarita has a unique gift - she can tell movies to anyone who will listen.
When a film arrives in the local cinema, María collects the exact change and watches it with her father, confined to a wheelchair, and shares the experience with her siblings and the rest of the community. As word spreads, María's storytelling becomes a beloved part of village life.
This tender story explores the magic of cinema in a bygone era, where films brought people together and transcended everyday life.
