Description
The Masjid Kamal Loves by Ashley Franklin is a joyful picture book that celebrates the joys of attending Jumu'ah prayer at the local masjid. Inspired by traditional nursery rhymes, this story builds on a rhythmic list of things Kamal loves about his community gathering place. Kamal's love for Friday and the masjid is infectious, as he bounces with excitement every time it's almost time to pray. With each spread, we learn more about what brings him joy - from hearing the teachings of the imam to praying with friends and family who feel like a second family to him. This charming book is perfect for young readers who are curious about their faith and community, and for parents looking for stories that celebrate diversity and inclusivity.
