Description
The Lost Years: A Life as a Far Eastern POW
Roger Rothwell's story is one of survival and determination, told in beautifully written detail. Captured by the Japanese on Christmas Day 1941, he spent four long years in captivity, recounting his experiences from notes made in a secretly kept diary.
This book offers a fascinating account of life as a Prisoner of War, with a unique perspective on World War Two and its impact on individuals. With humility and humour, Rothwell shares his journey, from enlistment to release, and the loyalty of those who helped him survive.
