Description
The Kite Runner by Matthew Spangler and Khaled Hosseini A pivotal moment in the author's life occurred at the age of twelve. On a frigid winter day in 1975, he crouched behind a mud wall, gazing into a deserted alley that has lingered in his thoughts for nearly three decades. The past refuses to be buried, and this young man's memories continue to resurface. In Afghanistan on the eve of war, two childhood friends are about to be torn apart by an event that will shatter their lives forever. A beautiful afternoon in Kabul is marked by the excitement of a kite flying tournament, but neither Hassan nor Amir can foresee the tragedy that awaits them. This stage adaptation, written by Matthew Spangler and published for the production at Wyndham's Theatre, London, brings Khaled Hosseini's powerful novel to life. First published in 2016, this edition was released as part of a theatrical production.
