Description
The Kaiju Kid by Shane McKenzie tells the story of Krick, a young monster struggling to live up to his family's expectations. His brother and sister tease him for wanting to save the city rather than destroy it, leading to shame and embarrassment that ultimately leads to his father disowning him.
In desperation, Krick is taken to meet his grandfather, a legendary Kaiju, in the hope he can teach him how to be a real monster. With his grandfather's help, Krick discovers a hidden special ability that might just be the key to destroying Eternal City, a place where monsters fear to tread.
This unique coming-of-age tale explores what it means to find one's place in the world and prove oneself, even when the path ahead seems uncertain. A darkly humorous and action-packed read from Shane McKenzie, author of Wet & Screaming and Muerte Con Carne.
