Description

The Johannine Comma 1 John 5:78 is a study paper by Christian Peter John Bahnerth that explores the debate surrounding the inclusion of verse 7 in the Bible. After six years of research and writing, Bahnerth presents a balanced examination of both sides of the argument, including discussions with educated friends who challenged his initial views. Bahnerth's approach aims to provide a clear and accessible understanding of the Comma Johanneum, making it suitable for students, scholars, and interested laypeople alike. The book invites readers to consider both perspectives on the issue and form their own judgment about its legitimacy as part of the Word of God. Through this study, Bahnerth offers a nuanced exploration of Christian heritage and encourages readers to engage with this important aspect of biblical scholarship.
