Description
A young woman is stranded on the Stuart Highway in remote Australia. Her situation raises questions about her presence there. Jeff Ridsdale stops to assist her and, in doing so, sets off a chain of extraordinary events. Ridsdale, a practical man heading to Sydney for a yacht delivery, is initially skeptical of the unusual occurrences that follow his rescue. However, after being knocked unconscious on the boat during a storm, he finds himself on board a mysterious interstellar vessel. The Kareeti, an alien species, have plans for Earth that are unlikely to be well-received by humanity. The Kareet select Ridsdale as a conduit for communication and implant him with a channel. They demand that Earth nominate a top-line micro-biologist, Lena Sandmeier, who is then returned to Earth to arrange a meeting of the UN Security Council. The fate of humanity hangs in the balance as Ridsdale and Sandmeier attempt to thwart the alien's devastating intentions.
