Description
The Immediate Discography: The First 20 Years by Mark Jones is a comprehensive record of the UK's influential independent label, Immediate Records. Released in 2016, this discography spans five years from its inception to insolvency and provides a detailed account of the label's history. Immediate Records was a pioneering force in the music industry, scoring a number one hit with its first release and going on to sign notable acts such as Small Faces, Rod Stewart, and Humble Pie. The label's impact can still be felt today, having paved the way for other independent labels like Charisma, Virgin, and Stiff. This book includes listings of all UK Immediate releases, as well as all known UK reissues up to 1985, making it a valuable resource for anyone interested in the history of rock music.
