Description
The Great Passover Escape by Pamela Moritz is a humorous tale about an unlikely group of friends who embark on a wild adventure to attend a Passover seder. A long-suffering chimp tries to persuade his friends, Ellie the Elephant and Kanga the Kangaroo, to join him in escaping from their zoo home, but ends up getting swept up in the escapade himself. As they make their way to Shmulik's house for the seder, the animals encounter various Passover items that they struggle to remember correctly. With the chimp's help, they learn about the holiday and its traditions along the way. This lighthearted story is filled with funny mistakes and mishaps as the friends try to get everything just right. The book includes helpful back matter about Passover and the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem, making it a great choice for readers looking to learn more about this important holiday.
