Description
The Global Police State by William I. Robinson As the world becomes increasingly unequal, governments are systematically excluding sections of their populations from society through heavy-handed policing. This phenomenon is not inevitable, but rather a result of a global system that prioritizes the interests of capital over human needs. William I. Robinson exposes the nature and dynamics of this out-of-control system, revealing the various methods used to control and suppress marginalized groups, including mass incarceration, police violence, and the persecution of immigrants and refugees. He argues for the urgency of creating a movement capable of overthrowing this system and bringing about an alternative future based on human freedom and liberation. By shedding light on the global police state, Robinson aims to serve as a warning of the dystopic future that may be upon us, while also contributing to the struggles to bring about change.
