Description

The German Freikorps 1918-23 by Carlos Caballero Jurado explores a pivotal period in 20th century Germany. Following the 1918 Armistice, many ex-Imperial soldiers formed Free Corps to resist internal unrest and external pressures on their country's borders. These Free Corps played a significant role in shaping Germany's military landscape, providing much of the manpower for the new Reichswehr. The book delves into this lesser-known episode in German history, shedding light on the complex dynamics at play during this tumultuous time. Illustrated with rare photographs and colour plates, it offers a unique insight into uniforms and insignia from this era. This concise account provides a fresh perspective on a crucial chapter in Germany's modern history.
