Description
The Garden Party and Other Plays by Václav Havel A collection of seven plays that span Havel's career, from his early days at the Theater of the Balustrade to his leadership in Czechoslovakia. This anthology brings together some of Havel's most notable works, including The Garden Party, The Increased Difficulty of Concentration, and the Vanek trilogy. The plays showcase Havel's unique voice and perspective on politics, society, and human relationships. They offer a glimpse into the life and experiences of one of Czechoslovakia's most prominent figures, who was imprisoned for his activism before becoming President. This edition features the first fully corrected English version of The Memorandum, which won Havel an Obie Award in 1968.
