Description
Simon Stephens's adaptation of Kasimir and Karoline is a dark, political and hilarious play that sets two young lovers in the midst of a break-up against the vibrant backdrop of a funfair. As they navigate the highs and lows of one night at the fairground, the play explores a crisis of capitalism set to the soundtrack of a rock and roll love song. The world premiere of The Funfair took place at Manchester's Home Theatre on 14 May 2015, marking the theatre's first-ever production. This exciting new adaptation is a thrilling ride through the ups and downs of one night at a fairground, where the lines between love and heartbreak are blurred by the bright lights and sounds of the funfair. With its unique blend of politics, music and drama, The Funfair is a captivating play that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
