Description

The Essence of Nihilism by Emanuele Severino

A groundbreaking work that reinterprets the history of Western philosophy as the unfolding of "the greatest folly" - the belief that things come out of nothing and fall back into nothing. In this book, Severino argues that such a conviction has led to a radical "nothingness" in existence, justifying exploitation, degradation, and destruction.

Severino seeks to move beyond Western nihilism by returning to the principles of Parmenides, developing a new philosophy grounded on the eternity of reality and every single existent thing. This thought-provoking book is now available in English for the first time, offering a unique perspective on the nature of existence.
