Description
The Esoteric Tarot: Ancient Sources Rediscovered in Hermeticism and Cabalah by Ronald Decker Ron Decker's meticulous scholarship reveals the surprising origins of the Tarot, challenging common misconceptions about its history. The Tarot consists of two main parts: the Minor Arcana, with four suits similar to modern decks, and the Major Arcana, featuring 22 allegorical cards. Decker's research integrates three systems - astrology, numerology, and mysticism - to provide a deeper understanding of the Tarot's meanings. He explores how the suit-cards were influenced by ancient Jewish Cabala, but only acquired their meanings in the 1700s. This book is a valuable resource for serious students of Tarot and esotericism. By uncovering the true evolution of the Tarot, Decker offers a fresh perspective on this popular divination tool.
