Description
Yuki Hirano is enrolled in a forestry training program in a remote mountain village, far from his city life in Yokohama. The village, Kamusari, is a place where the pace of life is slow and the community is tight-knit. With no phone, internet, or shopping, Yuki must adapt to a new way of life. At first, he struggles, feeling like an outcast, but the village's beauty and traditions slowly win him over. As Yuki learns to fell trees, plant saplings, and participate in local festivals, he begins to appreciate the harmony between nature and the village's ancient customs. He discovers the region's majestic qualities and its inexplicable secrets, and starts to see the world in a new light. In this coming-of-age story, the boundaries between city and country, tradition and modernity, begin to blur. Yuki's journey is a testament to the power of community and the beauty of a simpler way of life.
