Description
The Dragon Prince: A Chinese Beauty & the Beast Tale by Laurence Yep is a captivating retelling of an ancient tale.
When a poor farmer falls into the clutches of a dragon, only his youngest daughter will save him. In this luminous version of the beauty and the beast story, a clever solution emerges: marriage to the beast. Publishers Weekly praised "Yep's elegant, carefully crafted storytelling" and Mak's "skillfully and radiantly rendered illustrations".
This beautifully illustrated book has been recognised for its excellence in children's literature, including being named a 1998 Notable Children's Trade Book in Social Studies (NCSS/CBC) and a 1997 Pick of the Lists (ABA).
