Description
The Dorrington Deed-Box by Arthur Morrison is a collection of six short works of fiction that introduce Horace Dorrington, a London-based private detective with a reputation for getting results. With a charming exterior and a willingness to bend the law, Dorrington navigates a complex web of crime and deception. Through the eyes of his latest client, James Rigby, we see Dorrington in action as he solves crimes, recovers stolen items, and outsmarts scammers. As Rigby's narration follows Dorrington through his cases, it becomes clear that this is a detective who will stop at nothing to achieve success - even if it means manipulating those around him. Originally published during the detective fiction craze of the early 20th century, The Dorrington Deed-Box offers a unique and dark take on the genre. With its blend of clever plotting and morally ambiguous characters, this collection is sure to appeal to fans of crime fiction.
