The Damascus Document: A Companion to the Qumran Texts Charlotte Hempel's comprehensive guide provides an in-depth introduction to the manuscripts discovered at Qumran Cave 4, including the eight recently published texts. This edition also offers a review of key areas of scholarly research on the Damascus Document, a text of great significance among students of the Dead Sea Scrolls. The companion is divided into two parts: Part One covers all the manuscripts from Qumran Cave 4, while Part Two focuses on the recently published text 4QMiscellaneous Rules (4Q265; olim Serekh Damascus). This unique text has sparked intense interest due to its connection to both the Community Rule and the Damascus Document. By examining the latest research and discoveries, this Companion offers a valuable resource for scholars and enthusiasts alike.
