Description

A gruesome discovery in a quiet home sets off a complex investigation into the death of a professional cricketer. Durham Police's DS Tony Milburn is tasked with unraveling the tangled threads of motive and opportunity, but his progress is complicated by a personal history with a colleague, Diane Meredith. As Milburn navigates the intricate web of suspects and potential motives, he must also contend with his own feelings for Meredith, who has a history of stalking him. The case takes an unexpected turn when the investigation reveals a shocking detail about the victim's final moments. Sex, drugs, and professional sport form the backdrop for a tale of human shortcomings when facing everyday temptations, as Milburn struggles to separate fact from fiction in his quest for justice.
