The Circle at the Hollow Tree is set on the Devreux estate in Cornwall, where an ancient standing stone collection has spawned a local legend. According to myth, this circle serves as a portal to the Jesnick Kingdom, a hidden world overseen by a gnome-like people who maintain balance and sanctity through their connection with nature. The Jesnick people are guardians of the Crystal of Rohm, an energy source that safeguards their kingdom from malevolent forces, including Lithom's army of giants, goblins, and other evil entities. Lithom is a powerful leader whose influence extends across Zilon, striking fear into the hearts of its inhabitants. A young boy named Simon Halifax, born into a wealthy Cornish family, has contributed to Lithom's power through his disregard for nature and others. Simon's journey begins as he enters the Jesnick Kingdom, accompanied by one of their own, Zedda. Together, they navigate the treacherous terrain of Zilon in search of the Crystal of Rohm, which is currently held by the Holy Brethren. This perilous quest will force Simon to confront the consequences of his actions and the true nature of his world.
