Description

The Christmas Camera tells the story of Erik Dahlquist's summer adventure in Sweden. During an orienteering race, he takes a detour to photograph a little wren on her nest, leading him to meet the reclusive old fisherman Gunnar Eklund.

As Erik spends more time with Gunnar, he learns about Swedish customs and traditions, including Midsummer's Eve, crayfish fishing in August, and St. Lucia Day celebrations. When his cousin Bertil arrives from Stockholm, Erik must navigate the challenges of family relationships and cultural differences.

This heartwarming story is accompanied by charming illustrations, making it a perfect read-aloud for families and friends to enjoy together during the holiday season.
