Description
A bountiful world awaits humanity's descendants after centuries in the void. However, the crew of an old starship is struggling to cope with their current situation. As they face the possibility of a new, closer planet, they begin to dream of different possibilities and question the promise of their ancestors' mission. The crew's hopes for a better future are tempered by the reality of their present circumstances. The ship is falling apart, and its people are suffering. A tragicomic tale of loss on a galactic scale unfolds as small lives and great ambitions become adrift in the cosmos. Published to coincide with the world premiere at the Yard Theatre, London, this edition brings Chekhov's final work to life in a new and unexpected way.
