Description

The sun was setting over the inhospitable shore as Waldo Emerson clung to life after being washed ashore by a great wave. As he struggled to regain his bearings, he sensed movement from behind a dark cave and swung his cudgel in a defensive blow. To his surprise, the creature dodged back, narrowly avoiding a crushing blow that grazed its face.

The creature, a young girl, cowered in the mouth of the cave, eyeing Waldo with fear. He quickly removed his tattered cap and bowed low, apologizing for nearly attacking her. However, their brief moment of calm was short-lived as the cave men returned to attack, this time armed with stones.

The girl hurried back into the cave, only to reappear a moment later carrying stone utensils in her arms. As Waldo prepared to face the new threat, he caught a glimpse of the girl's resourceful nature and wondered what other challenges lay ahead for him on this unforgiving shore.
