Description

The Boy with Two Hearts by Hamed Amiri is a powerful true story about a family's desperate journey for survival and hope. In 2000, a young mother's courageous speech sparked a warrant for her execution in Afghanistan, forcing the Amiri family to flee their homeland and embark on a perilous quest across Europe. With their eldest son Hussein's life-threatening heart condition growing worse by the day, the family must navigate a treacherous landscape of fake passports, untrustworthy handlers, and unfamiliar surroundings. As they fight to reach the UK in time for Hussein to receive the surgery he so desperately needs, they face unimaginable dangers at every turn. This extraordinary true story is a testament to the courage and humanity behind each refugee's journey, revealing that hope and a sense of home can be found even in the most unlikely places.
