Description

The Believers Are But Brothers by Javaad Alipoor is a thought-provoking exploration of the crisis of masculinity and its impact on young men in today's world. Based on the author's experiences working with young people and online research, this one-man show delves into the dark corners of online extremism, anonymity, and hate speech. The performance weaves its audience into the complex web of resentment, violence, and power networks that are eroding the foundations of modern society. Alipoor masterfully navigates the smoke and mirrors world of online radicalisation, exposing the vulnerabilities and fears that drive individuals to extreme ideologies. This bold and unflinching work offers a searing critique of our digital age, where old certainties are crumbling and new forms of extremism are emerging.
