Description

The Beatles And Beyond by Don Short A showbusiness journalist's memoir reveals untold stories from his time with The Beatles and beyond. He was at the forefront of Beatlemania, capturing the scoop of a lifetime with his world exclusive "Paul Quits The Beatles." This book recounts his travels with the band, as well as his efforts to heal a rift between John Lennon and his father Freddie. Don Short's career also took him to the rise of the Rolling Stones, where he acted as Mick Jagger's bodyguard at his wedding. He went on to become a confidante of Hollywood's greatest stars, including those who were close to Elizabeth Taylor during her recovery from illness, Roger Moore during his divorce proceedings, and even persuaded Elvis Presley to explain his absence from the stage. This book offers a unique glimpse into Don Short's life as a journalist and his connections with some of the biggest names in entertainment.
