Description
The Bazaar of Heracleides by Nestorius Written in exile, this dialogue-based work presents Nestorius' Christological ideas in response to condemnation. The Incarnation is seen as the union of God and human, with each nature remaining distinct yet united in one person. Nestorius argues that Jesus Christ is a single entity, comprising both the divine and human natures. He asserts that Mary gave birth to the human Jesus, but not to the divine Word, which remains separate from human experience. This understanding of the Incarnation is central to Nestorius' theology. This book provides insight into the theological debates of its time, offering a unique perspective on the nature of Christ and the relationship between God and humanity.
