Description
Oswald Mosley's vision for Europe as a unified nation, stretching from the Urals to the Atlantic, is presented in this 2019 publication. Mosley argues that a single voice for defence, foreign affairs and economic policy would allow Europe to speak with authority on matters of importance while preserving national governments' control over other areas. In The Alternative, Mosley warns of the threats posed by "barbarians of the Modern Age", including Mob and Money, which he believes destroy European values and civilization. He also discusses his ideas for science, art, and the emergence of a new type of leader: the Thought-Deed Man or Soldier Poet. Mosley concludes the book with his philosophical interpretation of life, expressed in his Doctrine of Higher Forms, which provides a foundation for future generations of Europeans.
