Description

Gary Young's latest collection of poems, That's What I Thought Poems, is a heartening volume that showcases his mastery of prose poetry. With this seventh book, Young continues to build on his remarkable oeuvre, capturing the small miracles of everyday life with subtle wit and wisdom. Set along the coastal landscape of northern California, where Young has long been based, these poems are full of the pleasures and concerns of daily life. They demonstrate Young's ability to find beauty in the ordinary, a skill that has earned him praise from poets such as Dorianne Laux. This collection is a testament to Young's skill as a poet, offering readers a moving and playful exploration of the human experience.
