Description
Three years have passed since the Virgil County High School Massacre. Three years since my best friend, Sarah, was killed in a bathroom stall during the mass shooting. Everyone knows her story - that she died proclaiming her faith. But it's not true. I know because I was with her when she died. I'm now publishing a book about what really happened that day, so this might be my last chance to set the record straight. However, I'm not the only survivor with a story to tell about what did - and didn't - happen. Sarah's parents are also publishing a book about her, which has put me in a difficult position. As I learn more about what happened, I'm becoming increasingly uncertain about what's right and wrong. The guilt of staying silent is a heavy burden, while the consequences of speaking up are equally daunting.
