Tengo un nombre

Chanel Miller's memoir "Tengo un nombre" is a deeply personal and powerful account of her experience with violence and trauma. In 2016, she was at the centre of one of the most high-profile court cases in US history, after being sexually assaulted by Brock Turner. The case sparked widespread outrage and attention, but Chanel chose to remain anonymous for four years, sharing only a letter she had read aloud in court. In "Tengo un nombre", Chanel finally shares her story, revealing the complexities and challenges of living with trauma and reclaiming her identity. This is a deeply moving and thought-provoking book that sheds new light on the impact of violence and the importance of justice and healing. Through her writing, Chanel Miller invites readers to confront their own assumptions and biases about trauma, victimhood, and recovery. Her story is both profoundly personal and universally relatable, making "Tengo un nombre" a worthwhile read for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of human experience.
