Description
Ted Hughes and Translation explores the poet's views on translation and his efforts to make foreign-language poets' work accessible.
The book offers a unique insight into Hughes' perspective, thanks to his long-standing collaboration with translator Daniel Weissbort, co-founder of the quarterly magazine 'Modern Poetry in Translation'.
Through this relationship, Weissbort provides an in-depth look at Hughes' interest in making classical drama and foreign-language poetry more widely available.
