Description

Life in 1930s Madrid is marked by hardship and struggle for the women who work at a prestigious tea room near the Puerta del Sol. Among them are five young women with distinct personalities, each with their own story to tell. Antonia, the most experienced of the group, has never been recognized for her skills despite her dedication. Marta, on the other hand, is driven by desperation and a desire for change. Paca, a 30-year-old woman, spends her free time in a convent, while Laurita, the owner's daughter, appears to be modern and carefree. Matilde stands out as the only one with a rebellious spirit, seeking an alternative life. These women are accustomed to silence - not speaking up in front of their boss, their husbands, or their fathers. Their lives are marked by poverty and low expectations, yet they each have a unique voice waiting to be heard.
