Description

Tall Tales and Short 'uns brings together 12 previously unknown short stories by E.W. Hornung, one of the most prolific fiction-writers of his day. A brother-in-law of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Hornung created the iconic character A.J. Raffles, who led a double life as a cricket player by day and a burglar by night. Many of Hornung's short stories have been lost to modern audiences, existing only in obscure magazines and newspapers or in manuscript form. This compilation, produced by Peter Rowland, brings together some of these forgotten tales, shedding new light on the work of this talented writer. Rowland is also known for deciphering the texts of two of Hornung's unfinished books, 'His Brother's Blood' and 'The Graven Image', which were previously published by ELT Press. This collection offers a unique opportunity to explore the lesser-known works of E.W. Hornung.
