Description
The Sutra del Estrado is the foundational text of Chan Buddhism, also known as Zen. This influential work is attributed to Huineng, the sixth patriarch, and is highly regarded across all Zen schools. Its significance is such that this brief text is the only non-Sanskrit work to be given a sutra name. Our version has been translated directly from Chinese by an expert in the field, using the original manuscript from Dunhuang. This translation brings together the essential teachings of Huineng, providing insight into the core principles of Chan Buddhism. The Sutra del Estrado is a valuable resource for those seeking to understand this important school of thought. Published in 2000, this edition features 182 pages and a paperback binding.
