Description
Armenian monasteries stand as timeless monuments of faith, their ancient structures built over centuries. This photographic project explores forty monastic buildings across Armenia and the disputed territory of Artsakh, with many dating back to the 4th to 13th centuries.
The monasteries were once centers of education, where art and science flourished. Ted Andreasian and Nune Karamyan's joint vision brings a unique male-female perspective to their study of monumental human constructions and the spiritual dimension they evoke.
Since 2015, the photographers have produced internationally recognized projects, showcasing their expertise in capturing the beauty and significance of these sacred places.
