Description
Staying Alive is a collection of poetry that imagines the state of the world and human existence before, during, and after an apocalypse. Drawing inspiration from apocalyptic fiction and non-fiction, the poems explore multiple scenarios for the end of the world and pose questions about survival.
The poems draw on a range of sources, including works by authors such as H.G. Wells and Richard Preston, to create a diverse and thought-provoking collection. By examining different possibilities for the future, Sims invites readers to consider their own place in the world and how they might respond to catastrophic change.
The result is a powerful and unsettling exploration of what it means to stay alive in a world facing unknown dangers. With its concise and evocative language, Staying Alive is a compelling addition to any poetry collection.
