Description
Stanley Whitney: A Monograph of Abstract Painting This book presents the first full monograph on American painter Stanley Whitney, highlighting his unique understanding of line and colour within grids of multi-coloured blocks. Whitney's work spans over four decades, during which he consistently pursued abstraction despite critical interest in figurative art and photography at the time. The book offers a chronological analysis of Whitney's artistic development, weaving together his personal and professional narratives to provide insight into his wider cultural contribution.
