Description
Ryan Dean West's senior year has its challenges. As the new rugby team captain and stand-off, he's shouldering a responsibility that was once held by his friend Joey. Meanwhile, Ryan Dean is also navigating an unexpected living arrangement with Sam Abernathy, a talented young cook struggling with claustrophobia and a crush on Annie Altman, Ryan Dean's girlfriend. Ryan Dean's past is still haunting him, and the pressure of friendship can be overwhelming at times. As he navigates these challenges, he must confront his own fears and doubts. Andrew Smith's thoughtful portrayal of teenage life offers a nuanced exploration of the complexities of relationships, identity, and growing up. This novel provides a thought-provoking look at the ups and downs of senior year, where friendships can be both a source of comfort and a reminder of the difficulties that lie ahead.
