Description
Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee was a pivotal figure in the early history of Sikhism. He played a crucial role in establishing and institutionalising the faith, leaving behind a lasting legacy that continues to shape the community today. As the fifth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee oversaw the construction of the iconic Harmander Sahib Gurdwara, also known as the Golden Temple of Amritsar. He was also a prolific hymn writer and compiler, contributing significantly to the development of Sikh scripture in the Sri Aadh Granth Sahib. Despite his significant contributions, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee's life was cut short when he was brutally martyred by the Mughal Empire for refusing to submit to their tyranny. His story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of courage and conviction in the face of adversity.
