Description

Squid Squad: A Novel by Matthew Welton is a unique and inventive work that explores the spaces between things. Through a series of poems and meditations, Natalie Chatterley, Angus Mingus, Nerys Harris, and friends contemplate the rhythms of language and the world around them. The book features a range of poetic forms, from short stand-alone poems to longer pieces that experiment with form and structure. Welton's playful reworking of poetic conventions is matched by his keen observations of the natural world, where chickens feed on chestnuts and budgerigars sulk themselves to sleep. This collection is a fascinating and thought-provoking read for anyone interested in poetry and language.
