Description
Songs from a Single Eye is a collection of verse by Oswald von Wolkenstein, a 15th-century German poet and musician. Rediscovered in the 1970s as the first genuinely autobiographical lyric voice in the German language, his work has been translated and reinterpreted by scholars such as Richard Sieburth.
Facsimiles of Wolkenstein's musical compositions are included alongside his verse, offering a unique glimpse into the life and art of this medieval troubadour. This book presents an opportunity to explore the poetry and music of Oswald von Wolkenstein in a new light.
