Description
Sobre la nostalgia Damnatio memoriae explores the complex and profound experience of nostalgia. This singular emotion is one that we know intimately, yet often struggle to put into words.
The concept of nostalgia has been with us for centuries, from ancient Greece to modern times. However, it was not until the late 20th century that Western culture began to place a strong emphasis on memory and remembrance. This shift has led to a reevaluation of how we remember and recall the past.
Through this lens, the author examines the relationship between memory, fiction, and forgetting. The title suggests that the act of remembering can be both a blessing and a curse, one that brings pain and suffering as much as joy and connection.
