Description
So You Think You Know Me? is a candid and thought-provoking autobiography that challenges conventional perceptions of its author's life. Allan Weaver recounts his experiences as a local hard case, including chaotic early life events and violent episodes, which ultimately led to multiple periods of incarceration.
The book offers a unique insight into the complexities of an individual who was often misunderstood by those around him, including teachers, social workers, and family members. Through his story, Weaver sheds light on the consequences of ignoring the underlying causes of his offending behaviour, and how this contributed to his troubled past.
Despite facing numerous challenges, Weaver has turned his life around, obtaining a degree from Strathclyde University and working with young people who are struggling with similar issues. His autobiography is a heartfelt critique of the Criminal Justice System, highlighting its shortcomings in supporting individuals like himself.
