Description
Victor Forde has just moved into a new apartment, a fresh start after years of solitude. To ease his transition, he develops a routine: every evening, he heads to Donnelly's pub for a pint. However, one evening, his drink is interrupted by a man who seems to know him from the past. The man, Fitzpatrick, sits down beside Victor and strikes up a conversation that awakens memories he had thought long buried. Memories of school, where he was taught by the Christian Brothers, flood back, along with recollections of his wife Rachel's celebrity career and his own radio broadcasts. But it is these memories of school that prove most unsettling, threatening to destroy Victor's fragile sanity. As the evening wears on, Victor becomes increasingly unsettled, unable to shake off the feeling that Fitzpatrick is probing into his deepest fears. The encounter leaves him with more questions than answers, and he begins to wonder if he can truly escape his past.
