Description

David Hare's Skylight is a play that commands silence. In those moments, the audience's attention is almost palpable, as if it's a fight to the death or the dawning of salvation. This is what happens when a dramatist writes at full stretch, in complete command of his material. The tension builds as the audience holds its collective breath. It's a moment that can be both thrilling and terrifying. Skylight is a play that knows how to create such moments, where the silence is almost unbearable. This new production of Skylight was revived at Wyndham's Theatre, London in June 2014, receiving critical acclaim.
