Description

Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017 brings together thirty new artistic positions that explore the boundaries of sculpture, installation, and performance art. This publication accompanies the fifth edition of the Skulptur Projekte, an annual exhibition that has been setting important impulses for contemporary art since 1977. The exhibition features site-specific works by international artists who respond to their local environment, tackling global issues and reflecting on contemporary concepts of sculpture in the process. The accompanying publication provides a comprehensive overview of the projects, with seven essays, a large image section, and short texts that offer insight into the artists' approaches. For those interested in contemporary art, this publication offers a unique perspective on the current state of the field, providing a valuable reference point for artists, curators, and art enthusiasts alike.
