Description

Shropshire Folk Tales for Children by Amy Douglas is a collection of traditional stories that bring to life the wild and untamed spirit of the Shropshire countryside. These are tales of giants, witches, and mythical creatures, set against the rich history and folklore of the region. The stories in this book are not sanitised or sugarcoated - they contain elements that might make adults uncomfortable, but which are an integral part of the traditional tales. If you're looking for a genuine glimpse into the past, with all its rough edges and contradictions, then this is the book for you. With its unique blend of history, mythology, and folklore, Shropshire Folk Tales for Children offers a fascinating insight into the region's rich cultural heritage.
